Total Recall - your reading speed is more than 1,800 words per minute while your reading comprehension remains very near 100 percent. Most of us silently talk to ourselves as we read. We say the words on the page, silently in our minds, as we read. This is called subvocalization. The maximum talking speed is about 500 WPM. The subvocalization barrier is near our maximum talking speed. And that barrier is the reason most of us read below 500 WPM. This system is designed, specifically, to take us beyond the subvocalization barrier. If you do the appropriate speed reading exercises, on the appropriate time cycle, you can go through the barrier and beyond 600 words per minute. After using this speed reading system, you will not be skimming or picking key words. You will actually be reading every word. Yet, you will be reading faster and understanding more. If you can read the newspaper, you can easily take your reading speed and your comprehension beyond 600 words per minute. Using this speed reading system, it is easy to reach 600 words per minute. It is more difficult to reach 800 and 1,000 words per minute. It takes longer and requires more persistence. What we define here as the Area of Total Recall, 1,200 to 1,800 words a minute, is even more difficult because it takes even longer and requires much more persistence. Beyond 2,000 words per minute is a very special realm. Only the most goal oriented people reside here. Those who reside here continue to run the appropriate speed reading exercises on the appropriate time cycle until that goal is reached, no matter what else occurs. What is required is total persistence. Using this system, you can take the speed at which you get things done to a new level. You can actually increase your mental processing speed. As your reading speed continues to rise, you can approach and then enter what we defined here as the Area of Total Recall [back to directory...] Avatar
Library The average reading speed in the United States is estimated to be near 200 Words per minute. So, let's say your reading speed is 180 words per minute and your comprehension is near 100 percent when you start using this speed reading system. For this example: You are reading below the subvocalization barrier when your reading speed is 180 words a minute. If you wonder just how fast that is: a page that has 360 words can be read in 2 minutes. There are 120 seconds in 2 minutes. That is 3 words each second: (3 X 120 = 360). So, if your reading speed is 180 words per minute, you will be reading 1 page every 2 minutes. Above the subvocalization barrier - Your reading speed is more than 600 words per minute and your reading comprehension is very near 100 percent. For this example: You are reading above the subvocalization barrier when your reading speed is more than 600 words a minute. If you wonder just how fast that is: a page that has 360 words can be read in 36 seconds. That is 10 words in each second (10 X 36 = 360). So, when your reading speed is 600 words a minute, you will be reading 1 page every 36 seconds. Area of Total Recall - your reading speed is in the range of 1,200 to 1,800 words per minute while your reading comprehension remains very near 100 percent. For this example: You have entered the Area of Total Recall when your reading speed is 1,200 words a minute. If you wonder how fast that is: a page that has 360 words can be read in 18 seconds. That is 20 words in each second: (18 X 20 = 360). And for even more clarity, that is 1 line every (.5) seconds or 2 lines every seconds. So, when your reading speed is 1,200 words a minute, you will be reading (3.3) pages each minute. Total Recall - your reading speed is more than 1,800 words per minute while your reading comprehension remains very near 100 percent. For this example: You have Total Recall when your reading speed is at least 1,800 words a minute. And how fast is that? A page that has 360 words can be read in 12 seconds. That is 30 words in each second: (12 X 30 = 360). And for even more clarity, that is (1.5) lines every (.5) seconds or 3 lines every seconds. So, when your reading speed is 1,800 words a minute, you will be reading 5 pages each minute. Long before you reach 1,200 Words per minute, you can begin to feel the effect of Total Recall as you realize that your memory is improving. Using this speed reading system brings Total Recall within your reach. Come up and join us, it's easier than you think. |
